You'll be joining a progressive local authority within its Community Development function, supporting programmes aligned to the Northern Ireland Strategic Framework to End Violence Against Women and Girls and the Domestic and Sexual Abuse Strategy.

About you

  • Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Community Development, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Health & Social Care or related field
  • OR at least 2 years' relevant community programme experience
  • Experience supporting community-based projects, programmes or events
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
  • Experience maintaining records, monitoring information or contributing to reports
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Awareness of safeguarding and community-based working practices
  • Access to suitable transport

What you'll do

  • Support the coordination and delivery of community safety and EVAWG-focused programmes
  • Assist with awareness campaigns, workshops and prevention initiatives
  • Coordinate partnership meetings, stakeholder engagement and community events
  • Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting for funded programmes
  • Maintain accurate programme records and documentation
  • Assist with procurement, quotations and funding administration processes
  • Work with communications teams to promote programme activity
  • Support budget monitoring and project compliance requirements
  • Build positive relationships with community organisations, partners and stakeholders
