Temporary Head / Sous Chef – Staff Canteen Cover
Location: Rochester
Rate: £18.00 – £22.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef to provide temporary cover within a busy staff restaurant / canteen environment in Rochester.
This is a short-term assignment supporting the kitchen team and helping ensure smooth service within a high-volume catering operation.
Dates: 16th – 20th March (Potentially more shifts for the right candidate)
Hours: 06:30 – 15:30
Key Responsibilities:
– Supporting the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen
– Food preparation and cooking for staff restaurant service
– Working alongside the existing kitchen team during service
– Maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards
– Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with food safety procedures
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
– Experience working in a busy kitchen or contract catering environment
– Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume service
– DBS check required
– Background checks required
– Must provide and wear chef whites
