The Role
As a Junior Product Engineer (NPI), you will support the introduction of new semiconductor products from early-stage development through to full production release.
You’ll gain exposure to:
- Design for testability and manufacturability
- Product validation and characterisation
- Data analysis and yield optimisation
- Cross-functional engineering collaboration
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities across design, test, validation, and manufacturing teams
- Contribute to Design for Test (DfT) and Design for Manufacturability (DfM) processes
- Assist with product characterisation, data analysis, and test optimisation
- Perform correlation studies and design of experiments (DOE)
- Support failure analysis, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product release

- Some hands-on exposure (lab or data)

Key Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- or related STEM discipline
Technical Skills
- Understanding of new product introduction (NPI) processes
- Familiarity with:
- product validation and test plans
- electronics or semiconductor environments
- Exposure to:
- lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)
- data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB or similar)
- Knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PCB tools) is advantageous
- Awareness of PLM tools or product lifecycle systems is beneficial
Experience
- 0–3 years’ experience (including internships or placements) in:
- electronics
- semiconductor
- product development environments
- Experience working on cross-functional engineering projects
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Clear communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
Nice to Have
- Exposure to semiconductor fabrication, xwzovoh assembly, or test processes
- Knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, or high-speed ICs
- Familiarity with ATE platforms (e.g. Advantest, Teradyne)
- Awareness of reliability and qualification standards (e.g. JEDEC)
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
