Civil Litigation Solicitor
Full-time, permanent position in the Civil Litigation department.
Minimum 5–6 years post‑qualification experience in civil and/or commercial litigation.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our busy Civil Litigation department. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of corporate and private client civil and commercial litigation matters, working with a high degree of autonomy and playing an active role in the continued development of the department.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
- Advise corporate and private clients on contentious matters including breach of contract, debt recovery, and commercial disputes
- Draft and settle pleadings, witness statements, applications, and correspondence
- Represent clients at hearings, CMCs, and in advocacy before the courts
- Supervise and mentor junior fee earners within the team
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 5–6 years PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and court processes
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently and to tight deadlines
- Confident communicator with strong client care skills
