About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated National Design Surveyor to support leading UK kitchen and bathroom manufacturers across the Social Housing and Private Development sectors.
This is a field-based role requiring a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites. You will conduct on-site surveys, produce accurate CAD designs, and ensure all projects meet client specifications, budget requirements, and current industry regulations.
Using software such as Fusion 20/20, Cyncly Winner Flex, Arti CAD, or manufacturer-specific design packages, you will deliver high-quality “Right First Time” designs while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Surveying
Conduct accurate on-site surveys within residential properties including houses, flats, and tower blocks.
Produce detailed kitchen and bathroom designs using CAD software including Fusion 20/20, Winner Flex, Arti CAD, or equivalent.
Interpret project briefs, specifications, and technical building plans to ensure designs meet project and budget requirements.
Accurately measure rooms and identify service locations including gas, electric, and plumbing points.
Maintain a “Right First Time” approach with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Record and document all relevant design information, including any specification deviations or on-site issues.
Upload completed drawings and survey information within agreed deadlines, ideally on the same working day.
Coordinate appointments with site teams, project managers, and residents via phone and email.
Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and residents while delivering excellent customer service.
Communicate professionally and confidently when resolving on-site challenges or unexpected issues.
Provide timely feedback to site teams and elevate concerns to Project Managers where required.
Manage your own diary efficiently to maximise productivity and achieve daily and weekly KPIs.
Ensure punctual attendance across multiple site visits throughout the Midlands.
Effectively manage communications while travelling between appointments.
Demonstrate flexibility in managing working hours and occasional overnight stays where required.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
Experience using one or more of the following CAD packages:
Fusion 20/20
Cyncly Winner Flex
Experience in refurbishment kitchen design and on-site surveying.
Strong understanding of technical building plans and measurements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
Full UK Driving License.
Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Willingness to travel within the midlands (up to 75%).
Knowledge of gas and electrical refurbishment regulations.
Understanding refurbishment standards and building regulations.
Experience with on-site risk assessments and RAMS.
Knowledge of construction and refurbishment programme of works.
Working Conditions
Daily travel to various client sites across the Midlands.
Field-based role with regular site attendance.
Flexibility for occasional overnight stays when required by clients.
