Acute Specialist Dietitian (Gastro)

We are looking for an experienced Dietitian to join our team of four Specialist Gastro Dietitians at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (RD&E) on a fixed‑term basis. This role supports inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology and upper gastrointestinal services.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) as a source of dietetic specialisation.
- Support patients across inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology and UGI services, liaising with Consultants, GPs, nurses and other MDT members.
- Deliver evidence‑based dietetic care plans and interventions to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer support and CPD opportunities as part of the Eastern Nutrition and Dietetics Team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate experience in a range of dietetic specialities, with a focus on gastroenterology and UGI.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with MDT members.
- Clinical expertise and knowledge of current best practice in dietetics for GI services.
Working Pattern & Contract
37.5 hours per week. Fixed‑term contract: 13/07/2026 – 12/07/2027.
