We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic STEM Specialist to work in Bangor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in science and demonstrate excellent mentoring and teaching abilities.

Main Duties

  • To plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative STEM workshops
  • Facilitate workshops by helping with activities and explaining scientific concepts
  • Ensure that all workshops are delivered to a high standard
  • Work with local schools and colleges to determine their specific needs in respect of tailored activities
  • Prepare the necessary materials for each workshop and ensure correct handling of specialist equipment

If successful in the role a permanent contract is available

Person Specification

Essential

  • Degree in a STEM related subject
  • Fluent in Welsh
  • Experience of developing and delivering presentations and workshops with demonstrable learning outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in education
