Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a developing bid professional ready to take ownership of the full bid lifecycle.

In this role, you will work closely with operational, technical, and sector leads to deliver high‑quality, compelling proposals across public and private sector opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end bid process across public and private sector opportunities
  • Proactively identifying and tracking upcoming prospects, staying ahead of new opportunities
  • Maintaining the opportunity tracker to ensure full visibility of active bids, pipeline, and strike rates
  • Interrogating briefs, ITTs, SQs and supporting documents to understand client requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Coordinating with technical teams to gather and incorporate specialist input into bid responses, ensuring accuracy without directly authoring technical content
  • Working with operational teams to develop and write compelling bid content; tailored, engaging, and aligned to win themes
  • Completing SQs, ensuring responses are accurate, well‑evidenced and submitted on time
  • Reviewing and editing material submitted by others, coordinating contributions across the bid team and maintaining a high standard of document formatting and internal governance compliance
  • Structuring answers to score well against public sector award criteria
  • Ensuring all written proposals are accurate, well structured, compliant, and professionally formatted, submitted on time and in line with client requirements
  • Managing bid programmes and keeping multiple deadlines on track simultaneously
  • Taking ownership of CPC’s bidding best practice AI library; building, developing, and maintaining it, embedding AI tools into day‑to‑day bid processes, and guiding and training colleagues across the business on best practice
  • Producing visually appealing proposals using company templates in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Leading answer planning sessions and helping to shape bid strategy
  • Acting as Framework Administrator on frameworks secured by CPC, tracking individual call‑offs, and managing framework reporting
  • Participating in post‑submission reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve the quality of bid answers

About You

  • Experience in a bid coordination or bid management role
  • Ability to independently manage the bid process and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Experience with bid portals and public sector procurement processes
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience in the built environment, consultancy, or related sectors
  • Experience using, or interest in, AI tools within bid management
