Overview

Our client based in Reading, UK is seeking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Technical specification and design of equipment for individual bespoke projects ensuring deliverables are produced within manhour budgets and schedule constraints.
  • Thermal and mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
  • Technical support for the procurement of equipment across our range of technologies, including packages and static equipment.
  • Production of drawings, engineering datasheets, specifications and requisitions.
  • Review of detailed design information and supplier documentation.
  • Periodic short term international visits to vendors, client offices and construction sites.
  • Support of other departments in the company needing help with heat transfer or mechanical design issues.
  • Mentoring of developing engineers.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
  • Broad range of design experience with a Process Plant and Construction company or similar.
  • Flexible team player with excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
