Role Overview

We are actively seeking a Head of the PE Department to lead and organise the department, teaching GCSE and A-Level PE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, organise, and run the PE department, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Improve student progress through effective curriculum design and data analysis.
  • Manage extracurricular activities and duties within the department.
  • Develop and maintain the PE curriculum aligned with national standards.
  • Teach PE classes at GCSE and A-Level.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience leading a department and curriculum development.
  • Strong data‑driven approach to monitoring student progress.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • Must provide original qualifications before placement.
