A high-growth software investor is seeking an exceptional Operating Partner / GM to drive both organic and inorganic growth across its expanding portfolio of European based software businesses.

You will act as a strategic and operational partner to portfolio company CEOs and founders, be responsible for accelerating performance, guiding strategy, and ensuring the consistent delivery of sustainable profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the European portfolio, fostering trusted relationships with company leaders and embedding a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
  • Be directly accountable for delivering agreed growth targets and exceptional returns on invested capital.
  • Identify and activate key value levers within each portfolio company, implementing best-practice playbooks to scale growth and efficiency.
  • Define, align, and execute a vision for long-term, profitable expansion across all European operations.
  • Act as both strategist and operator, rolling up your sleeves to drive tangible results rather than serving purely in an advisory capacity.
  • Partner with executive teams to strengthen performance across talent, go-to-market execution, product strategy, pricing, financial management, and sales optimisation.
  • Build and develop functional excellence across shared disciplines such as finance, M&A, HR/Talent, Customer Success, Legal, and Sales.
  • Shape organisational design and leadership depth across the region, identifying future leaders and addressing capability gaps.
  • Collaborate closely with M&A teams to shape investment theses, support deal evaluation, and accelerate post-deal value creation.
  • Implement scalable systems and KPIs that bring consistency, accountability, and predictability to performance delivery.
  • Champion cross-portfolio collaboration and knowledge sharing to reinforce competitive advantage and accelerate growth.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience scaling software businesses to c. $200M+ revenue with strong EBITDA growth.
  • Previous experience as a CEO, Managing Director, or General Manager in a software or highly ARR tech-driven business.
  • Commercially astute with full P&L ownership and a history of delivering growth and margin expansion.
  • Deep understanding of software value creation levers, with a track record of implementing repeatable frameworks across diverse business models, products, and geographies.
  • Skilled at assessing and developing talent, building high-performing teams, and executing senior hires.
  • Gravitas, credibility, and high emotional intelligence, able to influence founders and leadership teams constructively.
