Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading mining company, is seeking a Mining Analyst Manager to join their team in London. The role is primarily remote, with 1-2 days per week together in the office (in London).

The Responsibilities

As an Analyst, you will be expected to:

(i) Perform market analysis and contribute to consulting engagements:

  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, actionable advice that meets client needs.
  • Lead the build-out and ongoing management of market analysis and forecasts across a portfolio of strategic and critical minerals, covering supply, demand, and price dynamics.
  • Serve as a key client contact on consulting projects, building trusted advisor relationships and presenting key findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Possible travel for conferences, client meetings, or site visits.

(ii) Develop core research & thought leadership:

  • Become a global expert in a portfolio of mineral commodities, developing and maintaining deep analytical insights into the markets, always using a data‑driven approach.
  • Perform rigorous first‑principles analysis on opaque mineral markets, developing robust datasets and forecast models.
  • Contribute to insightful reports, market studies, and articles that showcase your expertise and reinforce the company's position as an expert voice in the industry.

(iii) Innovate and shape our analytical approach:

  • Introduce advanced research methods, new data sources, and analytical tools to continuously improve the quality and impact of our work.
  • Contribute ideas on new research products and areas of coverage to help direct the company's future growth.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Profile

Interested in mining/metals/critical minerals: you are curious about the minerals sector (exploration, mining, processing, refining, supply chains, downstream demand) and all its associated aspects (e.g. geology, engineering, economics, trade, geopolitics, etc).

Independent: You are a self‑starter who thrives in a setting that offers a high degree of autonomy and the flexibility to work remotely.

An innovator: You are driven to find better ways to analyse markets and are excited by the chance to build new analytical approaches from the ground up.

A clear communicator: You can explain complex market dynamics with clarity and confidence, both in writing and in presentations.

7. Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Some (e.g. 1-5 years) relevant experience in commodity market analysis is useful but not essential. We are more interested in you being enthusiastic about learning the industry and developing/applying analytical capabilities.

Analytical skills: Demonstrable competence in performing quantitative and qualitative research on complex and/or ambiguous data, using a variety of tools and software.

Data Science and Software skills: Experience working with data, e.g. performing ETL, modelling, cleaning, visualising, analysing. Writing scripts/software/apps to perform tasks or analyse/visualise results.

Commodity exposure: Direct experience analysing multiple commodities within the battery materials, strategic metals, or industrial minerals sectors is useful but not essential.

Education: A degree in a relevant STEM discipline such as Geology, Engineering, Science, Maths, Economics.

Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
