Job Title: Hardware Electronics Test Engineer

Location: Brentwood (Hybrid working – 4 days a week onsite)

Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer with strong hands-on testing experience to support hardware validation and compliance activities. The successful candidate will work within a structured test environment, producing high-quality reports and ensuring products meet required EMC, Radio, and Safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electronics background and an eagerness to learn within a compliance-focused testing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hardware testing and validation activities
  • Produce detailed test reports and documentation
  • Operate electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analysers)
  • Support compliance testing (EMC, Radio, Safety standards)
  • Optimise test tools and scripting processes
  • Analyse, organise, and present test data clearly
  • Attend and support activities at external test houses
  • Apply structured test and validation methodologies
  • Strong engineering mindset with eagerness to learn
  • Background in Electronics Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Hands-on experience using electronics test equipment
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety)
  • Experience using test scripts and validation methodologies
  • Ability to sort, analyse, and present technical test data
  • Willingness and ability to attend external test facilities
  • Experience collaborating with developers to design test cases
  • Ability to summarise complex technical information for different audiences
  • Experience managing a test workstack or workflow
  • Basic Python scripting experience
