  • Resource Deployment & Incident Response – Oversee the deployment of operational resources for unplanned incidents, supporting network‑wide priorities to improve road safety, reliability, and bus journey times.
  • Stakeholder & Incident Coordination – Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to manage incidents, sharing intelligence with the Surface Control Centre (SCC) and ensuring real‑time issues are addressed promptly.
  • Incident Management – Act as SPE lead for incidents in conjunction with TfL control centres, including attending tactical meetings and debriefs as required.
  • Frontline Staff Support – Provide operational support to staff to resolve issues impacting effectiveness, such as device replacements and TPH licence checks.
  • Events & Operational Management – Assist with the successful management of events and incidents through collaboration with the SCC and frontline teams.
  • Enforcement & Evidence Support – Support enforcement activity across the transport network through effective use of CCTV and evidence gathering.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Representation – Engage with internal and external stakeholders, promoting the work of SPE and building strong working relationships to improve service delivery and manage expectations.
  • Systems & Information Management – Accurately update and maintain systems, ensuring all operational information is recorded appropriately.
  • Operational Communications – Ensure on‑street management teams are informed of all incidents and unplanned deployments in a timely manner.
  • Reporting & Management Information – Work with peers to deliver and maintain local reporting and management information systems.
  • Management Cover & Deputising – Deputise for the Operations Resourcing & Deployment Manager as required.
  • General Duties – Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the management team.
