Role & Responsibilities
- Dealing with complex electrical & electronic breakdowns and repairs
- Working on various automation & controls, HMi's, production & packaging machinery
- PLC – electrical fault finding, troubleshooting & modifications to existing code
- Fault finding & interrogation of circuits, variable speed drives, AC drives, control panels, inverters
- Electrical isolation, safety and LOTO
- Upgrade projects – installation, testing, inspection & commissioning
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Must be an experienced electrical/electronics engineer
- Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation and LOTO procedures
- PLC – electrical fault finding, troubleshooting & modifications – Siemens
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or electronic engineering
- Ideally have completed a time‑served apprenticeship
- Must have worked in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment previously
- Able to read and interpret electrical & control schematics
- Worked on circuits, inverters, instrumentation, control panels, variable speed drives, HMi's
