Description
Our client, a UK leading manufacturer and part of a global multi‑national organisation, requires a multi‑skilled biased Maintenance Engineer. The position is mechanical biased (70/30 mech/elec) and is suitable for candidates with basic electrical fault‑finding skills. The role will last for a few months and involves working the rotating 6-2pm / 2-10pm shifts.
Responsibilities
- Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally HNC level.
- Strong manufacturing background in reactive & PPM work.
- Solid all‑round mechanical engineering experience covering bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics, and other production machinery, coupled with some electrical fault‑finding skills.
- Maintain and service equipment including Check Weighers, Flow Wrappers, metal detectors, conveyors & cutting machinery.
- Maintain engineering stores & parts and work to continually improve the PM system.
- Flexible, proactive, able to manage own workloads and work closely with other engineers on site.
Qualifications
Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally HNC level. Strong manufacturing background in reactive & PPM work. Solid all‑round mechanical engineering experience covering bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics, and other production machinery, coupled with some electrical fault‑finding skills.
