This position leads the Commerce and retail media portfolio, integrating strategy, activation and partner delivery to secure client success and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Senior Client Partnership & Outcomes
- Own senior day‑to‑day relationships across clients, acting as a trusted commerce advisor.
- Recommend, shape, and implement tailored commerce solutions across the full funnel.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery across key workstreams, ensuring measurable business impact.
- Oversee quality, timelines, and governance to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Connected Commerce Strategy & Roadmapping
- Partner with Commerce leadership and internal specialists to create integrated retail and marketplace strategies.
- Build client roadmaps that incorporate current and emerging commerce solutions (e.g., retail media, onsite search, digital shelf/content, marketplaces).
- Use data, insights, and analytics to identify opportunities and optimise performance.
- Revenue Expansion, Pipeline & Pitch Support
- Identify and convert opportunities to expand existing client relationships and grow Commerce revenues.
- Contribute to new business pitches (strategy, narrative, commercials, deliverables, and team orchestration).
- Maintain a strong growth pipeline; set milestones and revenue targets.
- Cross‑Agency Leadership & Capability Building
- Inspire and support a team of practitioners across WPP Commerce to spot and unlock commerce opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with activation teams internally to ensure delivery excellence.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, development planning, and performance culture as the team scales.
- Delivery Operations, Governance & Commercial Rigor
- Manage financial processes (forecasting, tracking, and reporting) and ensure compliance with internal standards and charters.
