We are looking for someone to join Imperial’s ICT function as our Director of People and Finance Digital Services. This newly created role will report directly to the Chief Information Officer where you will provide strategic ownership of the end to end digital colleague lifecycle that underpins our People, Finance and Research Administration functions.
You will manage a delegated budget of around £10m, provide clear financial reporting on lifecycle costs to stakeholders, and ensure Imperial’s technology capability evolves to meet current and future needs.
What you would be doing
You will hold end‑to‑end ownership of the digital roadmaps supporting the colleague lifecycle across People platforms including recruitment and onboarding, pay and reward, time and absence, learning and development, organisational change and exit as well as Finance platforms that underpin research and grants, student‑related finance, procurement, planning, reporting and financial control.
You will lead the next phase of Imperial’s Oracle Fusion journey, maturing the platform and delivering new capabilities following migration. This includes overall accountability for releases and change delivery to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards, while ensuring performance expectations are consistently met across all operational support services.
A core element of the role is the development of trusted, senior‑level partnerships across faculties, departments and central functions. You will align priorities and value, ensure strong governance, compliance and risk management, shape and prioritise the demand pipeline, transparently allocate resources, and foster a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
