Electrical Design Engineer Building Services

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing Building Services team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across commercial, mod, healthcare, and education sectors, contributing to innovative and sustainable design solutions.

Role

• Design and specification of electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and data/communication systems
• Produce detailed design drawings, calculations, and technical reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors
• Attend client and project meetings, providing technical input and support
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices
• Support project delivery from concept through to completion

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in building services design (consultancy experience preferred)
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux/Relux
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and standards (e.g., BS7671)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Working towards or already achieved professional accreditation (e.g., CEng or IEng) is desirable
