Project / Site Manager – Residential Groundworks

We are currently seeking an experienced Project / Site Manager to oversee a residential groundworks scheme based in Sturminster Newton. This is an immediate requirement with years of work available for the right candidate.
The role will involve managing day‑to‑day site operations, coordinating groundworks and civils activities, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification. The successful candidate will ideally be able to bring a reliable groundworks team with them.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing residential groundworks packages from start through to completion
- Overseeing drainage, foundations, roads, and external infrastructure works
- Coordinating subcontractors, plant, and labour on site
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and site standards
- Liaising with clients, engineers, and commercial teams
- Monitoring programme, quality, and productivity
- Organising materials, deliveries, and workforce planning
- Resolving site issues and maintaining progress
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering residential groundworks schemes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid preferred
- Ability to start ASAP
- Ideally able to supply groundworking operatives/gangs
