Senior Consultant – Manager (Energy Networks)

Our UK Energy Networks team works with electricity and gas network operators across the UK, delivering consulting services across policy, regulation, strategy, operating model, capital delivery and digitalisation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver client engagements across network capital delivery and asset management, including planning, building, and operating critical infrastructure.
  • Shape and deliver operating model improvements across people, process, and technology, including governance, ways of working, and performance management.
  • Help clients deploy leading‑edge digital and AI solutions in a pragmatic, business‑case‑led way, such as digitising field operations, improving asset data, and enabling better decision‑making.
  • Work with client and partner teams to mobilise delivery, from defining the problem to landing change on the ground with engineers and field forces.
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and client relationship development, drawing on insights from the UK‑wide network client portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Consulting and/or industry experience in utilities, networks, water, or adjacent asset‑intensive sectors (e.g., oil and gas), with a strong understanding of regulated businesses.
  • Credibility in one or more of: capital delivery (portfolio/programme/project delivery), asset management, field operations, or technology‑enabled operational transformation.
  • Supported digital, data, or AI‑driven change and can translate technology opportunities into pragmatic value cases, target operating models, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Collaborative, high‑performing team ethos and genuine passion for the energy transition and delivering outcomes for clients.
  • Comfortable with travel to client sites as needed (typically 1–2 days per week) and value hybrid working with purposeful time together.
