More about the role:

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lochgelly for a Contracts Manager.

  • The role involves overseeing multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Manage Site Managers, Engineers & operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Act as Principal Contractor where required and ensure full compliance with CDM regulations
  • Liaise with Clients, Main Contractors, Consultants & key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
  • Review and monitor project programmes, resources & performance
  • Provide leadership on health, safety, quality & environmental compliance
  • Attend progress meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and supply chain coordination
  • Support the commercial team with valuations, variations, cost control & final accounts
  • Contribute to tender reviews, pre-start planning & procurement strategies

The successful candidate(s) will have a variety of the following skills/certificates/experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Contracts Manager / Project Manager role
  • Experience working as a Main Contractor, Principal Contractor or Subcontractor.(projects predominantly involving civils packages preferred)
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card (Manager preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organisational, commercial and problem-solving ability
  • Driving licence is essential
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Educated to minimum HNC/D level in Construction Management or similar (preferred)

Salary/hourly rate – depending on skills & experience.
