Position Summary
As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the accuracy and reliability of the company’s financial reporting. You will manage the end-to-end production and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements (IFRS & GAAP), ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Manage core accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close processes, to support timely reporting
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls to protect assets and ensure adherence to financial policies
Regulatory & Audit Oversight
- Take ownership of regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring submissions are accurate and delivered on schedule
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, coordinating the audit process from planning through completion
- Oversee tax compliance and planning, including considerations related to digital assets
Systems & Process Enhancement
- Support ongoing improvements in financial processes and systems, utilising NetSuite to strengthen reporting and efficiency
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred)
- Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Demonstrated experience in financial and regulatory reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Experience within fintech, banking, or financial services is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
