Responsibilities
- Relationship building and influencing: Business partner with the Commercial function, cross‑functional finance, operations and external stakeholders. Provide commercial recommendations based on evidence, influence decision making, and focus on critical evaluation.
- Data, insight and reporting: Produce commercial analysis, develop reporting solutions, support the Loyalty team, develop financial models for promotional activity, conduct post‑promotional analysis, collaborate with Customer Data & Analytics and BI to improve reporting on the App and Loyalty, and use both financial and non‑financial inputs to draw conclusions.
- Financial control: Produce budgets, forecasts and strategic plans for areas of Greene King’s Commercial offering; manage key processes such as menu or business‑case sign‑off and post‑investment review.
- Behavioural: Deputise for peers or line managers, maintain a service‑centric mindset, prioritise workload by commercial impact and continually review priorities to align with business goals.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience or significant experience in a business‑partnering role.
- Strong relationship‑building skills across the business and with external advisors.
- Excellent analytical skills: ability to analyse complex financial and non‑financial scenarios, draw logical conclusions, and recommend actions in a clear, concise, and persuasive way.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to explain technical items simply.
- Ability to flex with changing priorities and balance short‑term deliverables with long‑term objectives.
- Commercial finance or business‑partnering experience, especially with financial modelling, investment appraisal and analysis, is advantageous.
