Project Overview

We are recruiting for an Electrical Project Manager to oversee a £1mil electrical installation works on a Life Sciences / Laboratory project. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

The role will suit someone comfortable managing straightforward electrical packages, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of electrical installation works on site
• Take responsibility for an electrical package, ensuring programme, quality, and commercial targets are met
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors and direct labour
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, site procedures, and RAMS
• Monitor programme, progress, and quality of works
• Attend site meetings and liaise with client, main contractor, and design teams
• Manage materials, short-term planning, and logistics
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly and pragmatically
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover where required
• Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting

Required Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Supervisor, or similar role
• Experience managing £million-value electrical packages
• Background delivering electrical installation projects (commercial, laboratory, healthcare, or industrial preferred)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and site coordination
• Good knowledge of health & safety and site compliance
• Ability to manage subcontractors and programme delivery
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• SMSTS / SSSTS preferred
