Location and working arrangement
Their R&D team and Production department are all based in the Southampton area. As an employer, they are very flexible on hybrid working. Regular on-site presence is expected to ensure project delivery; how regular is up for discussion with the right candidates.
Role purpose
As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the seamless integration of electronics, embedded software, and mechanical design teams, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing R&D projects from concept through to delivery.
- Coordinating with electronics, embedded software, and mechanical design teams.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within electronic OEM companies.
- Strong background in delivering R&D projects involving electronics, embedded software, and mechanical design.
- Exceptional leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Growth and reporting
This opportunity will allow you to have a big input into how projects are run within the business. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will play a lead role in delivering R&D projects across the business. This client is expanding rapidly with ambitious growth plans. This role has the potential to grow within the business into a PMO Director role.
