Senior Cost Consultant – London
Up to £75,000 per annum
I am working on behalf of an established, independent construction and property consultancy with a strong UK and international presence.
The firm delivers cost and commercial management services across a wide range of sectors including commercial, office, residential, fit out, health, education, industrial and hospitality. Known for its collaborative, partner-led culture, the business offers exposure to high-profile projects, strong mentorship and clear progression pathways.
They are recruiting for a key position within the Cost & Commercial Management team, supporting senior leadership in the delivery of complex projects across pre and post-contract stages.
You will act as a day-to-day client contact, manage multiple workstreams and begin taking responsibility for team coordination, project finances and commercial performance.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead procurement strategies and tender processes (including NEC)
- Prepare cost plans, budgets and detailed financial reports
- Manage post-contract administration including valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitor risk, change control and cost performance
- Ensure accurate reporting of cost of work done and budget variance
- Support junior team members and contribute to wider team growth
About You
- Degree qualified (construction-related discipline preferred)
- MRICS preferred (support available if not yet chartered)
- Strong pre & post-contract experience
- Consultancy background desirable
- Experience across commercial, office, residential, fit out or similar sectors
- Strong client-facing, analytical and reporting skills
- Able to manage multiple projects with increasing autonomy
