Senior Project Manager – Front Office Trading Technology

Overview

An opportunity to join the Client Services team of a leading provider of web-based trading technology, delivering mission‑critical front‑office solutions to global financial institutions.

This is a senior, client‑facing role with responsibility for leading complex software delivery programmes across capital markets clients.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Lead complex front‑office technology programmes from discovery through to deployment
• Manage a portfolio of concurrent projects across multiple development teams
• Own scope, timelines, budgets, forecasting and delivery milestones
• Act as primary point of contact for Tier 1 financial services clients
• Identify opportunities for additional work and support sales/procurement cycles where required
• Work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders (e.g. Heads of Desk, Traders, CTOs)
• Maintain project plans, RAID logs, budgets and delivery reporting
• Ensure adherence to governance, security and regulatory standards
• Lead PMO best practices, standardisation and information security alignment
• Control scope and budget changes effectively
• Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks
• Line‑manage Project Managers, including resource planning and performance management
• Mentor and develop PMs, supporting career progression and delivery excellence
• 5+ years’ experience delivering complex projects within capital markets, asset management, or hedge funds
• Formal Agile (Scrum Master/Practitioner) and/or PRINCE2 certification
• Experience line‑managing and developing Project Managers
• Strong reporting, communication and presentation skills
• Experience operating in fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environments
