Control Engineer

Overview

My client works within engineering and manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Graduate Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team.

Base pay range

Salary – £27,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

• Working within the existing engineering automation technical team
• Working on PLCs and a range of projects
• Developing PLC code and software for projects
• Always looking at identifying areas for improvements
• Commissioning activities and testing
• Working from electrical schematics
• Integrating PLC code
• Fault finding and resolving any issues

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Have knowledge or experience of working with PLC systems ideally or an interest in working with them – Beckhoff or similar
• An interest in software engineering would be ideal – any previous exposure to C++, Java or similar (this could be in your hobbies too)
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
