Alecto Recruitment is working with a well-established energy and power generation company who are seeking a Technical Trainer to support the development and upskilling of operational teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Deliver and develop technical training across mechanical, electrical, and operational disciplines.
- Assess staff competency, provide mentoring, and support continuous skills development.
- Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Induct and train new employees to a level where they can work independently.
- Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external training programmes.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
- Support operational teams with fault finding, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
- Review and improve training materials, systems, and HSQE processes.
- Work with management to define operational standards and improve team performance.
- Contribute to development of technical documentation and training resources.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong technical background in power generation, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience in training, mentoring, or coaching.
- Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and Health & Safety (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- IT literate with experience using MS Office and digital training tools.
- Full UK driving licence required.
