We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Flutter on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the global lease process, and other global processes, including but not necessarily limited to the global share-based payments process. What you’ll do
- Prepare monthly lease reconciliations, including lease roll forwards, for the Group’s lease portfolio.
- Collate lease disclosure support for U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting.
- Support any transformation efforts with respect to lease accounting systems.
- Support any transformation efforts with respect to platforms which support the share-based payments process, including data validation.
- Support the accounting for share-based payments (such as monthly journal entry postings), as needed.
- Maintain compliance with SOX requirements, including assisting in certain tasks to comply with SOX controls, as needed.
- Support ad-hoc activities and initiatives, as needed.
- Partner with different finance teams across the organisation.
How you’ll do it
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience, in industry (preferably, a plc / multinational environment), or practice.
- Experience with accounting for leases and share-based payments, under U.S. GAAP and / or IFRS, is a plus.
- Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and drive adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and successfully implement change.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion financial systems would be advantageous.
