Software Engineer

Full Stack Engineer | Tech4Good | Hybrid East Midlands | Up to £70k + Bonus

We’re partnering with a mission-driven organisation that supports frontline workers across the UK, providing them with meaningful digital experiences. Following a major replatforming, they’re looking to expand their Engineering team and are hiring Full Stack Engineers to contribute to exciting greenfield development and new ideas. This is a chance to make a real impact while working in an environment where collaboration and innovation are encouraged.

In this role, you’ll work within an agile, supportive squad, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to deliver features that enhance personalisation, engagement, and the overall member experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• ✔️ Developing high-quality applications across React, Next.js, TypeScript, and AWS serverless technologies
• ✔️ Building new features and maintaining clean, scalable, and reliable code
• ✔️ Ensuring strong engineering standards through automated testing and continuous improvement practices
• ✔️ Collaborating with Product and Design to refine requirements and deliver features predictably
• ✔️ Monitoring production systems and contributing to system improvements
• ✔️ Participating in agile ceremonies and driving team evolution with your ideas
• ✔️ Supporting inclusive decision-making and promoting shared ownership
• ✔️ Contributing to knowledge-sharing and mentoring within the team

What We’re Looking For

• ➡️ Strong experience delivering full-stack applications with TypeScript, React, and serverless backend API patterns
• ➡️ Experience designing, building, and deploying solutions on AWS, including use of Serverless and IAC tooling.,
• ➡️ Proven ability to work autonomously across the engineering lifecycle, from design to release
• ➡️ A track record of maintaining high engineering standards, including clean architecture, automated testing, and performance optimisation
• ➡️ The ability to break down complex challenges and make robust engineering decisions
• ➡️ A collaborative mindset and experience working within cross-functional teams
• ➡️ Engagement in learning and knowledge-sharing within the team
