Management Accountant (Part-Qualified) – Surrey – 55K to 60K – Mat Cover
Are you a driven, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) Management Accountant looking for the right opportunity to complete your qualification and take the next step in your career? Our client, a dynamic and growing industrial organisation, is seeking a talented finance professional to join their team for 12 months MAT cover. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while receiving support to help you achieve full qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Manage and support 2 juniors in the team.
- Reconcile sales journals, costs of goods sold, and supplier accounts.
- Conduct variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Identify inefficient processes and proactively work to improve them, helping to drive the finance team forward.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver financial reports that support strategic decision-making.
- Assist with statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and liaise with external auditors to facilitate year-end accounts.
What We’re Looking For:
- Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, actively working towards full qualification.
- Strong knowledge of management accounts and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Prior experience in a similar industry role.
- Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders.
