Location & Working Arrangements
Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of working week) and remotely within the UK.

Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly analysis and maintain, enhance, and develop reporting tools that support effective business partnering, accurate financial results, and seamless forecasting.
- Oversee monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and understand the reasons behind any variances.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting pack by providing analysis and commentary for key areas of the business that is easily understood and can be used to drive actionable insights.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of deliverables within the team.
- Assist the Commercial Finance Manager with the annual budgeting process, and quarterly reforecasts.
- Assist the Commercial Finance Manager to ensure budget holders are provided with key financial information to assist in financial‑decision making, including budget reports, project appraisal, ROI analysis and ad‑hoc reporting.
- Build and maintain partnerships and strong relationships with senior managers and their teams.
- Communicate financial data to non‑finance professionals to enable key stakeholders to understand and assess financial performance and to make future decisions.
Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial finance, management accounting, or a business partnering environment.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and simplify financial information.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excel knowledge.
- You do not see yourself as a “typical accountant” but a sociable and diligent finance business partner.
- Highly numerate, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non‑finance colleagues.
- A proactive problem‑solver with a can‑do mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build trust and credibility quickly.
- Ability to translate operational insights into meaningful financial analysis.
- Comfortable with presenting and reporting to senior management.
