REED Practice are actively recruiting for an Audit Manager to work within a well established Practice near to Wimborne.

The Audit Manager will work alongside a colleague to lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality service. This role involves supervising audit teams, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the growth and development of the audit department. Please see details below

Audit Manager

Salary – circa £85,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Full Time / Part Time

Hybrid – Wimborne location

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit Planning & Execution:
  • Plan, manage, and deliver audit engagements from start to finish within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure audits comply with relevant standards (ISA, UK GAAP, IFRS).
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Review work papers and audit files prepared by junior team members.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients during audits.
  • Build strong relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Quality & Compliance:
  • Maintain high standards of audit quality and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and risk assessment procedures are followed.
  • Business Development:
  • Support partners in winning new audit work and expanding client base.
  • Participate in networking and marketing activities.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in audit within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
