The Audit Manager will work alongside a colleague to lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality service. This role involves supervising audit teams, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the growth and development of the audit department. Please see details below
Audit Manager
Salary – circa £85,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Full Time / Part Time
Hybrid – Wimborne location
Key Responsibilities:- Audit Planning & Execution:
- Plan, manage, and deliver audit engagements from start to finish within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Ensure audits comply with relevant standards (ISA, UK GAAP, IFRS).
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and technical support.
- Review work papers and audit files prepared by junior team members.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients during audits.
- Build strong relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Maintain high standards of audit quality and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and risk assessment procedures are followed.
- Business Development:
- Support partners in winning new audit work and expanding client base.
- Participate in networking and marketing activities.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in audit within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
