Controls Engineer

What you’ll be doing

• Working with PLC, HMI and SCADA systems across high-speed production lines
• Fault-finding and improving Rockwell / Allen-Bradley controlled equipment
• Supporting shift engineers with automation issues and developing their capability
• Identifying and delivering improvements to reliability, safety and output
• Supporting commissioning and upgrades to existing machinery
• Acting as the go-to person on site for more complex controls issues

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a Controls Engineer or automation-focused role within manufacturing
• Strong working knowledge of Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs (or similar with willingness to learn)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
• Hands‑on approach – someone who enjoys fault finding and improving systems
• Food/FMCG experience is ideal, but not essential
