Position Overview
We are looking for a Social Worker to support us in delivering our Living Better Lives vision for Adult Social Care. Through this you will help people achieve what matters to them, living independently in a place they call home. Collaboration and co‑production are at the heart of what we do, working alongside partners, community organisations, carers and the people we support to shape meaningful and personalised outcomes.
Responsibilities
As a Social Worker in the Learning Disability & Autism service you will:
- Support people with learning disabilities to live good, independent and fulfilling lives in their communities
- Work in partnership with people, families and professionals to build on strengths, promote choice and control, and ensure support is person‑centred and outcome‑focused

Eligibility & Practicalities
Social Work applicants must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) or have applied to register. The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a ‘disclosure’. You will also be required to provide a car for duties and be insured for business use.
