Agora is partnering with a later-stage venture capital fund that invests in some of the most exciting and high-growth consumer brands in the UK and internationally. The fund backs bold, ambitious founders across sectors such as food & beverage, wellness, fashion, and beauty — and plays an active, hands-on role in helping these businesses scale.
The Opportunity
The fund is looking to hire an Investment Analyst to join its London-based investment team. This is a unique opportunity for a high-potential individual to break into venture capital and gain full exposure to the investment process.
The successful candidate will demonstrate both strong technical rigour — including financial and commercial analysis — and the emotional intelligence required to build deep relationships with founders. A genuine passion for the consumer space is essential, as is the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
This role would suit someone with 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or a high-growth startup/founder background who is now looking to make the move into VC.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end investment processes including market mapping, financial modelling, and due diligence
- Meet with founders and assess new investment opportunities
- Analyse commercial models, competitive dynamics, and brand potential
- Help shape investment theses and track trends across consumer sub-sectors
- Provide strategic support to portfolio companies post-investment
Candidate Profile
- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or an operational/founder role within a consumer business
- Strong analytical toolkit and commercial instinct
- High EQ and strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust with founders and stakeholders
- A deep interest in consumer trends and a passion for brands
- A self-starter with drive, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset
