Pertemps are working with a key client in the Glasgow area who are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to lead the Financial Accounting team, driving a culture of continuous improvement. This role is responsible for statutory accounts, external audit management, month-end reporting, and full oversight of the balance sheet and working capital. You must enjoy leading the transactional finance team and management of the company cashflow. Our client is offering a salary up to £60k depending on experience, hybrid working and great benefits including free parking. Key Responsibilities: Ensure robust financial controls are in place across all teams Identify and resolve financial risks and weaknesses Review and improve processes including billing, debt, stock, purchase orders, and ledger postings Act as a key contact for internal and external audit queries Ensure hedging activities comply with policy and authorisation requirements Support month-end close, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting Maintain accurate cost coding across finance and business systems Oversee balance sheet integrity and capital expenditure reporting Manage day-to-day cash flow and working capital Support cash reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis Maintain and improve accounting systems and controls Oversee banking platforms and hedging documentation (FRS102 compliant) Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies Prepare and submit VAT returns and liaise with HMRC Support budgeting and forecasting for balance sheet and cash flow Ensure integrity of financial forecasts and reporting Deliver insightful analysis to improve business performance Partner with senior stakeholders to highlight risks and opportunities Lead and develop Purchase Ledger and Treasury teams Act as escalation point for invoice disputes Set clear objectives and conduct regular performance reviews Support training and development for team members Promote collaboration and best practice across the finance function Ad Hoc Duties: Ensure financial records are audit-ready Support system improvements and implementations Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Undertake additional duties as required Skills & Experience: Qualified accountant (CA or equivalent preferred) Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified experience Strong people management experience Proven track record in a complex organisation Please apply online now for more information or contact Linda Currie Pertemps acts as both an employment business and an employment agency41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15…
