Mechanical Design Engineer / Estimator

Full-Time | Permanent

£30,000-£40,000 DOE

An established UK manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer / Estimator to support the design and costing of ventilation and air movement equipment from enquiry through to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical designs and 2D/3D CAD drawings
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with UK standards
• Generate accurate cost estimates and quotations
• Analyse drawings and specifications to select materials and processes
• Support sales, production, and project teams

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical design and/or estimating
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Desirable: HVAC/ventilation experience, estimating within manufacturing, ERP knowledge.
