MEP Project Manager Opportunity – Tier 1 Main Contractor – Cambridge
We are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join their team on a major commercial development in Cambridge. This is a flagship project offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the MEP function from inception through to completion.
This role is suited to candidates with either a mechanical or electrical bias, provided you have a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects end-to-end.
The Role:
As MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of MEP delivery, including:
- Design Management – Coordination and review of MEP design to ensure buildability and compliance
- Procurement – Managing subcontractor packages and supply chain engagement
- Installation Oversight – Ensuring quality delivery in line with programme
- Logistics & Planning – Coordinating site activities and sequencing of works
- Compliance – Maintaining adherence to all regulatory and safety standards
- Commissioning – Leading testing, validation, and system sign-off
- Handover – Driving a smooth project close-out and client handover
The Candidate:
- Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager on large-scale commercial projects
- Background in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or major subcontractors preferred
