Overview

Technology Cost Finance Business Partner – Location: Manchester or Peterborough (Hybrid 2 days per week)

Markerstudy Insurance Group is looking for a commercially focused Technology Cost Finance Business Partner to play a key role in shaping how we understand, manage, and optimise our technology spend.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Change and Finance, providing clear insight into cost performance, supporting strategic investment decisions, and driving tangible EBITDA improvements across the Group.

What You’ll Be Doing

Business Partnering & Insight

• Partner with Technology and Change leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and challenge
• Deliver clear, concise reporting and commentary to support decision-making
• Build strong relationships across the business to become a trusted advisor

Planning, Forecasting & Performance

• Lead budgeting and forecasting across technology costs (FTE, non-staff and project spend)
• Produce high-quality month-end reporting, variance analysis and forward-looking forecasts
• Manage risks and opportunities, ensuring no surprises in financial performance

Cost Optimisation & Strategic Impact

• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and support EBITDA delivery
• Support business case development for strategic investments and change initiatives
• Track delivery of cost and performance improvements

Controls & Governance

• Work closely with Controllership to ensure robust, auditable month-end processes
• Maintain high standards of reporting, process and model governance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial control and data standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering role
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis
• Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Advanced Excel and strong presentation skills
• A clear communicator who can simplify complex financial data

Desirable

• Experience partnering with Technology or Change functions
• Background in a fast-paced, complex organisation
• Degree qualified
