An exciting opportunity for a publications-focused Medical Writer to join a growing, data-driven life sciences company developing innovative diagnostic technologies that are transforming the management of cancer patients.
You’ll join a collaborative in‑house team that operates with the energy and agility of a medical communications agency, but with the long‑term product ownership and scientific depth of industry. This role offers the best of both worlds – the pace and variety of agency life, combined with the satisfaction of seeing your work contribute to real‑world clinical impact.
We’re looking for passionate writers who love turning complex data into clear, engaging, and scientifically rigorous publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to the development of scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks.
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to create insightful, accurate, and publication‑ready content.
- Collaborate with internal experts and external authors to deliver high‑quality outputs aligned with company strategy.
- Ensure editorial excellence and compliance with ICMJE and GPP3 publication standards.
- Support strategic publication planning and tracking within a growing oncology portfolio.
- Occasionally assist with literature reviews or data analysis projects as part of wider team support.
About You
- Life sciences degree required – PhD preferred, or MSc/BSc with strong relevant experience.
- 3–5 years’ experience in medical writing (for Senior role) or 1–3 years (for Junior role).
- Proven track record in publication writing – must have at least one prostate cancer publication where you are acknowledged as the medical writer or author.
- Experience in medical imaging or PET is highly desirable.
- Background in a medical communications agency, pharma, or medical device company preferred.
- Not suited to purely academic profiles – this is a fast‑moving, cross‑functional commercial environment.
- Comfortable interpreting complex data tables and working directly from data outputs (no CSR templates).
- Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
