AsInternational Relations Officer (Asia),you’llplay a key role in strengthening strategic partnerships across the region—advancing collaboration, enabling discovery, and amplifying the global impact of our research,innovationand education.
What you would be doing
Youwill join Imperial’s International Relations Office, supporting the development of academic partnerships, researchcollaborationsand strategic initiatives across Asia.Your role will span everything fromprovidingregional insight and managing collaborative programmes, to supporting the delivery of high-profile visits and international events and contributing to regional communications by crafting stories and content thatshowcaseour global impact.Working closely with senior colleagues,academicsand external partners,you’llhelpstrengthenImperial’s role as a leader in international research,innovationand education.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Working with colleagues todeliver programmes with existing strategic partners designed to build research,educationand innovation partnerships in Asia
- Providingsupport for the preparation of briefings and strategy documents for use during international visits and to inform senior staff’s decision-making
- Assistingwith the delivery of a series of events in priority areas of science and technology
- Contributingto the development of the regional communications strategy
What we are looking for
- Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ideally in a higher education or international context
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write high-quality briefings
- Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to interpret complex information and spot opportunities
- A proactive, self-directed approach—comfortable managing multiple projects independently and adapting to changing priorities
- Anunderstanding of the international higher education and research landscape,ideallyacross Asia
- The ability to build credibility with senior colleagues and academic partners
- A collaborative mindset and an interest in science,innovationand global impact

Further information
This role is for a fixed-term contract for six months with an immediate start and we welcome secondments from across Imperial departments and faculties.We hope this will be an opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to gain experience in international engagement and strategy.
