Job Description:

We are Harper, a fast-growing Series A startup at the intersection of eCommerce and Fintech. Our mission is to keep personal service at the heart of the digital shopping experience by enabling elevated Try Before You Buy experiences for some of the world’s leading fashion retailers.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to take a hands‑on role in how Harper uses data. You’ll work with complex datasets, build dashboards and pipelines, and provide insights that help the business and our brand partners make smarter decisions. This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants real responsibility, the opportunity to influence strategy, and help grow Harper’s data function. You’ll own the end‑to‑end data lifecycle; from building clean, scalable pipelines and architectures to designing intuitive dashboards and translating data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and translate complex datasets into insights that inform product, operations, and partner strategy.
  • Build dashboards and visualisations that are intuitive, actionable, and performance‑optimised.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and architectures in collaboration with the tech team.
  • Create a single source of truth across customer, operational, and financial metrics.
  • Define sprint priorities for data initiatives and collaborate closely with developers to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Operations teams to measure performance, run experiments, and evaluate ROI.
  • Own data governance, quality, and accessibility across the business.
  • Champion a data‑led approach across teams, helping colleagues use insights to prioritise and experiment.

Key Skills

  • 4+ years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy, ideally within a startup, consultancy, or eCommerce/fintech business.
  • Strong technical skills across the full data lifecycle: clean data models, reliable pipelines (SQL, dbt, Airflow, Redshift, AthenaDB (a bonus)), and dashboards (Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI).
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable data architectures that integrate multiple sources into a single source of truth while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources into a single source of truth and maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking. You can connect metrics to growth, ROI, and customer experience, and communicate them to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Skilled at defining KPIs, running experiments, and using data to evaluate product and business performance.
  • Confident storyteller who can turn complex data into actionable insight for leadership and brand partners.
  • Curious, resourceful, and hungry to take ownership and learn new skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary + meaningful share options to build long‑term value
  • Real ownership and autonomy from Day 1, working directly with the founders
  • 32 days holiday (take public holidays whenever you like) with a 3‑day carryover policy
  • £600 annual wellbeing allowance
  • MacBook and the tools you need to do your best work
  • Hybrid working and regular team socials

Interview process

  • 90‑minute in‑person interview – we’ll give you a scenario that we will work through together
