Reporting to the MEP Lead, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all MEP services on data centre projects, ensuring systems are designed, coordinated, installed, and commissioned in line with project requirements. Contribute during the tender stage by helping identify and assess suitable M&E subcontractors and supporting selection decisions Take ownership of design coordination, ensuring all building services designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with programme timelines Lead the technical development of designs through key stages, working closely with consultants and specialist subcontractors Keep a close eye on both technical and commercial risks within the design, taking proactive steps to address any issues Review project specifications, employer requirements, and proposed technical solutions Drive early-stage BIM coordination, resolving clashes and highlighting potential risks before they impact delivery Support procurement activities, particularly in relation to MEP packages and subcontractor appointments Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all teams and project activities Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental procedures across projects Build and lead M&E teams, assigning the right people to the right projects and clearly defining expectations Assess subcontractor packages for any commercial or technical risks Work closely with commercial teams to manage variations and cost implications Oversee quality processes related to MEP works across projects Monitor installation progress and step in to resolve issues when necessary Oversee commissioning and handover activities to ensure systems are delivered to the required standard
