Job Description:

Are you a Electrical Project Manager looking for a new role with a leading tier one M&E contractor? Do you want to work on projects up to £40 million M&E?As the Mechanical Project Manager you will be exposed to leading the team on services for projects. On a day to day basis you will guide the project delivery team and participate in bid activity when required.Typical developments consist of a mixture of commercial shell & core, commercial fit out and high end residential projects. This role will consist of managing from preconstruction of procurement, delivery, commission and handover for all M&E services.

Key Responsibilities:Manage full project lifecycle (design → procurement → installation → commissioning)Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plansCoordinate electrical engineers, subcontractors, and suppliersReview and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical specificationsEnsure compliance with regulations (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations in the UK)Monitor project costs and manage financial performanceIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategiesOversee site installation and testing/commissioning activitiesMaintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsPrepare reports, progress updates, and documentation

 

Experience:5–10+ years in electrical engineering or project deliveryExperience managing electrical installations or infrastructure projectsBackground in sectors such as construction, utilities, rail, or renewable energyKey SkillsStrong project management and leadership abilityTechnical knowledge of electrical systems (LV/HV distribution, control panels, protection systems)Budgeting and cost controlContract management (e.g., NEC, JCT contracts in the UK)Risk and health & safety managementCommunication and stakeholder engagementProficiency with tools such as:Microsoft ProjectAutoCAD ElectricalPrimavera P6
