Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a Tier 1 main contractor on a £30m industrial scheme based in Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of a major project as the Number 1 on site, reporting directly to the Operations Director.
You’ll be joining a highly reputable contractor with a strong pipeline of work and a proven track record of delivering high-quality industrial and commercial projects.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from start to completion. Acting as the lead on site, you will oversee all operational, commercial, and programme aspects, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from start to completion
- Oversee project delivery from inception through to completion
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
- Maintain and enforce high health & safety standards across site
- Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact
- Report directly to the Operations Director on progress, risks, and performance
- Coordinate with commercial and design teams to resolve issues and drive the project forward
- Monitor and control project costs, variations, and risk management
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor is essential
- Strong background delivering industrial or large-scale commercial projects
- Experience managing projects of similar value (£20m+)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and H&S regulations
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects to successful completion
