We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering for Rides Maintenance to lead all ride maintenance, reliability, and safety performance across a busy theme park resort.


This is a senior leadership role focused on ensuring all attractions are safe, compliant, and available while also driving stronger structure, discipline, accountability, and team development within the department.


What We’re Looking For


• A mature, highly organised manager

• Process-driven and administratively strong

• Able to build structure, planning discipline, documentation, and control systems

• Strong in stock, spares, and workshop organisation

• Able to create accountability, traceability, and clear escalation routes

• Capable of rebuilding team confidence and stabilising culture over time

• Technically credible and hands-on when needed


Key Responsibilities


• Lead rides maintenance operations ensuring safety, reliability, and availability

• Deliver maintenance strategy, planning, and performance targets

• Ensure full compliance with HSG175 and safety legislation

• Manage risk assessments, incidents, and corrective actions

• Improve maintenance systems, documentation, and reporting discipline

• Oversee workshop control, spares, and inventory management

• Lead winter maintenance and major outage programmes

• Manage budgets, procurement, and supplier performance

• Develop and lead a capable, accountable engineering team

• Liaise with regulators, manufacturers, and external bodies

• Act as Duty Park Manager on rota basis when required
