About the Role
To ensure milkshake equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and maintained to the highest standards, supporting health and safety compliance and optimal performance. This role delivers cost-effective servicing and repairs for equipment supplied or maintained by HTG Trading. Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to clean, service, maintain, and commission equipment to a high standard.
- Disassemble and sanitise shake machines in line with food safety protocols; reassemble and test for full functionality.
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults or maintenance needs.
- Contribute ideas to improve servicing and repair practices.
- Comply with all company health, safety, and hygiene policies.
- Coordinate with kitchen and maintenance teams to avoid service disruption.
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs and escalate issues as needed.
- Aim for high first-time fix rates and reduce repeat visits through efficient use of labour and parts.
- Respond promptly to service requests from customer and Service Centre teams.
- Communicate clearly and professionally—phone calls must be followed up with email confirmation.
- Support colleagues, supervisors, and call allocators with feedback and collaboration.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by the customer or service management teams.
Daily Tasks
- Install and commission milkshake systems.
- Perform scheduled 14/28-day cleans and regular preventative maintenance (PMs).
- Diagnose faults and resolve issues across customer systems.
- Train site staff on basic shake machine operation.
- Support onboarding of new engineers with training on installs, cleans, and commissioning.
- Maintain effective communication with customer and service teams.
- Manage time and tasks efficiently—installation deadlines must be met.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and food safety protocols.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Comfortable using cleaning chemicals and machinery (with safety training).
- Physically fit: able to lift parts, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Specialist Knowledge:
- Correct Clean procedures
- Basic electrical and mechanical skills
- Refrigeration knowledge and awareness
- Product-specific knowledge
- Logical fault diagnosis
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fast food or food service environments
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong time management and self-motivation
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet time deadlines
- Good attention to detail when inputting information
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication when interacting with external and internal customers
- Ability to carry out any additional tasks deemed necessary by management as the business and customer requirements evolve.
- Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
